Painting With Light

I am currently taking a photography class in which we are learning various techniques; one of these techniques is painting with light.  Painting with light is a technique where by a photo is taken in a dark room with light interjected by an artificial source such as a flashlight.  In my case I used my trusty camping headlight, my shutter was set to stay open for 20 seconds and my ISO was set at 320.  I quite enjoy this technique and hope to use it again, perhaps with some human subjects.

Here are a few of the photos I captured early this morning.

Enjoy!

This last one is taken using a candle and a BBQ lighter, I love the way it turned out.

What a great morning of capturing my experiment.

Cheers,

Rebecca
